December 1st is the day to honor the memory of all the people we have lost to AIDS and say a prayer in our hearts for those living HIV & AIDS. The world has lost so many men, women, and children to this horrific disease.
(This is a repeat of a dairy I posted last year with some new designs, the years updated & a link to my WORLD AIDS DAY 12/01/2006 Podcast for this year.)
Are you totally disgusted by the Trans Texas Corridor? Do you hate that Perry and the Texas Repugnants are staging the largest land grab in Texas history and possibly throwing thousands of Texas families off their land?

(I recieved this email today and thought it imporatnt enough to post.)
John Carter Demonstrates DeLay Redrawn Districts
Prop-up Mediocre Members
When Rick Perry, Tom Craddick and David Dewhurst redrew Texas congressional boundaries, they crafted not only districts that favor Republicans but districts so skewed that plainly incompetent and ineffective Republican incumbents could withstand a strong challenge by a very capable and talented Democrat. In some cases, the Tom DeLay-inspired map has discouraged qualified challengers from even filing to run. However, in others, very good Democratic candidates who would make outstanding Members of Congress have emerged.
that the Republican Party means more to her than her constituents in Texas.
After saying she would debate her opponents, Sen. Hutchinson said she could not attend as the Senate was still in session. Then why was Kay in Arizona campaigning for Republicans on September 22nd? Do the Republicans in Arizona mean more to our Senator than our concerns here in Texas?
We are in the last days of the 2006 election cycle and we need to work as hard as we can to get good candidates elected. The Bush Regime has made a mockery of America & everything this country should stand for. Music Row Democrats has put together a group of 20 songs for 20 dollars to help get good Democrats elected. The songs are fabulous and you can hear some of them on my podcast.
Time to pound the pavement, phonebank and help get some great candidates elected!!!!! We are fighting to make sure Travis County is not the only Blue County but Turn all of Texas Blue but we can not do it without your help!!!!! This weekend there are two great blockwalking opportunities to help get Candidates elected.
The Stonewall Democrats of Williamson County had their first meeting on August 17th. After electing officers for the next two years, a motion was made for the club to raise funds for yard signs saying "VOTE DEMOCRAT" and donate them to the county party to help energize the Democrats in Williamson County.
We are desperately trying to elect decent and caring individuals to represent Texas not only in the U.S. Senate and Congress but in State and local offices. We have thousands of people who need to be called just to try and do Voter ID. You can help no matter what state you live in.

I attended the convention. I arrived early Thursday and was there till mid-day Sunday. While there was business I needed to attend to as far as my SD5 and Stonewall caucus, I was also there to meet and network with other great Democrats from across the state. This was my main concern.

I spent the last few days in Fort Worth at the Texas Democratic State Convention. It was thrilling to see so many active Democrats who are passionate about their beliefs and politics all in one place. I was lucky enough to meet wonderful people from all over the state. The ages ranged from 16 to 82 and all of them ready to fight and win America back from the Repugnants. This was exciting for an old fart who has been actively in politics and civil rights for 40 years.
