Report Time

(What can I say but more cowbell? - promoted by Phillip Martin)

On Thursday, all campaigns submit their 3rd quarter financial report to the Texas Ethics Commission. So if you were going to donate, now is the time to do it.  The press and large donors use the TEC reports as a barometor to judge a candidate's viability.

The Chris Bell campaign recently produced a video on the governor's race that it sent to traditional large democratic donors. It has some great testimonials and an interesting take on the race. Check it out here or in the extended entry.

Yes. More cowBell. (3.00 / 1)
It's time to close the deal.

Thanks to Fred Baron (who is making calls to his money boys for Chris) and thanks to Mikal Watts and Tom Pirtle and all those other guys for putting their mouths where their money is.

This is going to be one of those horse races where the winner suddenly kicks and shoots past the rest of the pack, right at the finish line.

can anyone explain the poll in this vid? (0.00 / 0)
smart folks out there:

bell talks about being tied with perry with those who've seen bells ads?  since he has only been on cable is not that a very small number?  what percent of folks in that survey had seen the bell cable ads?  any ideas?

Just a subset
Maybe a small percent of the total, but no different than saying Bell is ahead of Perry among Hispanics. Larger margin of error due to the smaller sample size, and possible skew with active Democrats more likely to take notice of/remember the Bell ad than the general population.

Also, the Big on Texas ads were on regular TV. Haven't seen the new ones except online, but since they just rolled out, I assume the poll was taken earlier.

I think that was with some poll....
The video showed a poll done by Cooper & Secrest. I think that's where the numbers came from (and that was the first I'd heard of those).
