Tom Delay: "I'm insane or stupid. I can't figure out which."

by: Phillip Martin, Progress Texas

Thu Oct 08, 2009 at 11:48 AM CDT

His words, not mine:

Tom DeLay said on Monday night's "Dancing With the Stars" what his political opponents may well have been thinking for years.

"I'm insane or stupid," the former House Majority Leader said. "I can't figure out which."

Can't it be both? (H/t to Harold).

Also - have Republicans taken some version of the H1N1 vaccine that doubles as a truth serum? Between Delay admitting he's lost his mind and that TxDOT commissioner proclaiming he's the "most arrogant Commissioner of the most arrogant state agency in the history of the state of Texas" I'm starting to think Republicans have finally decided to stop lying at every opportunity.

New slogan for Texas Republicans: "Insane or stupid - we can't figure out which!"

At least he admits it . . . (0.00 / 0)
Who will be the next politician to fess up.  I'll start
Joe Biden: Sometimes I speak before I think.
Trent Lott: See Joe Biden.

It should be Perry (0.00 / 0)
I let an innocent man get executed.  I don't care that folks in my state needing food stamps can starve to death b/c it takes 3 months instead of 1 to distribute them.  I don't care that jobless in my state will run out of unemployment benefits and could go homeless.  And if HCR reform with a public option is passed and states have a choice I'll say no to the PO so the uninsured can continue to die early.  I don't care about people at all.  Let 'em eat cake.

They can always turn to charity.  Just called me a fine heartless and cruel "Christian."

Perry is apparently not as succinct as Delay (0.00 / 0)

There are probably several of us who can confirm (0.00 / 0)
that Biden has already said that, or words to that effect.  Numerous times.

"In this world of sin and sorrow there is always something to be thankful for; as for me, I rejoice that I am not a Republican." - H.L. Mencken
