Watch Wendy Davis Speak at the Travis County Democratic Party's JBR Dinner

by: Katherine Haenschen

Tue Jan 28, 2014 at 07:30 PM CST

Tonight, Wendy Davis will speak at the Travis County Democratic Party's Johnson-Bentsen-Richards dinner, which is the major event that funds TCDP's coordinated campaign -- and if you can't make it to the sold-out event, you can watch Wendy Davis online!

That's because tonight marks the start of the Texas Tribune's live-stream coverage of the 2014 election cycle! The Tribune raised over $65,000 on Kickstarter to fund the technology needs of the project, so that folks across Texas can follow this fascinating campaign cycle from the ease and comfort of their own home computer.

The dinner will honor Austin's own Cecile Richards for her work fighting for Texas women, and Senator Kirk Watson will serve as emcee. Congressman Lloyd Doggett and Sen. Leticia Van De Putte will also speak. Davis will give the keynote address, and promises to set the record straight on the recent spurious attacks on her family.

Watch the live-stream live below the jump! Program starts at 8:00 p.m. Central time.

Here's the feed. The program is set to start at 8:00 p.m. Central.
