Sean Hannity Getting Very Cozy With Texas, May Run for Office Here

by: Ben Sherman

Once again, a Texas Republican will take an abysmal guest to the State of the Union. Tyler's Louie Gohmert, famous nationwide for his "terror babies" and Muslim-infiltration conspiracy theories, will take Fox News' Sean Hannity to the president's address next Tuesday. A man whose job is donning the second-smarmiest smirk against President Obama (after Ted Cruz) most nights each week will sit in the gallery and gather hollow empty points, live, against the president's agenda items. Last year, Texas GOP Rep. Steve Stockman took rabid right-winger Ted Nugent to the constitutionally-required speech.

Gohmert has hosted Hannity's program before, and appears frequently to either agree with Hannity or tell Hannity what to agree to. Hannity was recently bumped back in Fox News' lineup in favor of the equally right-wing, not equally over 50, Megyn Kelly. Hannity has said he'll be moving soon. Unfortunately, the right-wing talk show host appears to like Gohmert too much, and may want a similar job...right here in Texas.

That's right, Sean Hannity may want to run for office in Texas. More below the jump.

Hannity is planning on leaving "anti-conservative" (doesn't sound so bad) New York, and has contrasted the state with Texas.

"The answer is yes, I'd think about it," said Hannity in response to a question Twitter question about whether he'd run for office. "It would either be in Texas or Florida."
