The Medicare Killing GOP to Gov Perry: Run, Rick, Run

The national Republican Medicare Killing Party must be in dire straits if it seriously considers running an extremist right wing Governor who racked up a $27 billion budget deficit that he said was either imaginary or “speculative.”

Except that a $27 billion hole that was made in hell is a $27 billion hole that was made in hell.

So much for the silliness of the Texas miracle. Meanwhile, back at the Guv's pricey ranch in Austin, Rick Perry passed the women rights killing abortion sonogram bill into law today.  Has a fundamentalist Christian Sharia law come to Texas, thanks to our extremist right wing Governor?

Governor Perry might be good at fooling and tricking Texas voters but his winning streak ends right here and perhaps in Mississippi. After all, both states are in a neck to neck competition for low performing schools and for dismantling social programs for the middle class and economically challenged.  Yep, that is right, folks. The Governor of the financially strapped state of Texas is apparently gaining momentum within the ranks of the GOP Medicare privatizing strategists and pols. All of which are very likely funded by none other than the Koch brother government hating libertarians.

One has to admit that Governor Perry is doing one heckofajob with his crusade to dismantle public education for children and social programs for the economically disadvantaged in the great state of Texas. He has messed with a woman's right to choose.  He and his right wing extremists also want to make it more difficult for people to vote. I guess the GOP knows how unpopular it is becoming with folks who are not insane or whose IQ level is over 100.

As many grass-roots Republicans remain in search of a conservative candidate with the pizazz to go toe-to-toe against President Obama, a man from deep in the heart of Texas who was tea party before the tea party was cool appears to be giving the presidential race some thought.

Gov. Rick Perry has insisted on multiple occasions that he has no interest in the presidency, but RCP has learned that political associates have begun to nose around quietly on Perry's behalf.

I wonder what Karl Rove put into the grassroots Republican tea to make the tea party believe Slick Rick could go toe to toe against Barack Obama? I mean, Rick appeals to the lizard brain types while Barack attracts smarter, younger voters who are not enslaved by the ball and chain of ignorance, hate, fear and racism.

According to the Houston Chronicle, Rick Perry is too busy with Texas business to consider a Presidential run.

This is the same reckless and irresponsible Governor who, while on the gubernatorial campaign trail in 2010, said the current budget deficit is either imagined and/or speculative.

One should know by now when any Republican politician says anything he/she means the polar opposite. It seems that the GOP is in total disarray right now over its efforts to privatize Medicare.

An old GOP blast from the past, Newt Gingrich, found himself hammered to smithereens by the right for daring to tell the truth about the extremist Medicare Killing Republicans.

Governor Rick Perry's fat cat donor sugar daddies, really, really want him to run.

A Texas pol who is close to Perry has been telling a few key strategists that the nation's longest-serving governor sees a vacuum and is waiting to be summoned into the race. This source believes that could happen by late summer. Without fellow Southerners Haley Barbour or Mike Huckabee in the race — and with Newt Gingrich's early troubles raising further doubts about the current lineup — there could be a glaring niche for Perry to fill.

It must be tough to run as a Republican now since the extremists have purged all of the sane moderates out of its Party.

Below check out some of the comments posted on the Houston Chronicle.com about Slick Rick Perry's potential run.

This the guy that ran for re-election on the platform that he had brought all these jobs to Texas and the State was doing excellent financially. However, it was a big deception and now the State is in a world of hurt. Also, this guy doesn't have too much respect for women. I am not a propoent of aborations;however, a women should have a right to make that decision. Yeah, it is a Human Life but it is not up to us mortals to judge , that belongs to the big man up there beyond that blue sky. Previously, he attempted to pass mandatory bill to have women take some cancer pill. Had that pass, he would have a big bribe from the pill maker. Nope, the reason he will not run for President, is that the truth will be discover, he is a fake. Americans need to stop playing this Democrat / Republican game. We need to vote for best candidate , that has a vested interest of our State and this great Country. America Love It or Leave IT!

Thank you, dear poster, for telling the truth about the GOP. Fake and deception looms large.

Yeah, he's too busy legislating a woman's uterus.

That he is. It seems to me that extremists right wing Republican men, like pretty boy Rick Perry have serious issues with women's rights.

not too busy, just not very popular outside of teh redneck, christian belt, which btw is getting smaller everyday!!! Houston gonna pick up a Latino seat!!

Yes, indeed. Houston is comprised of a brilliant rainbow of beautiful colors.  Too bad, so sad for GOP extremists for being such racists.

He's too busy being a mean racist towards immigrants!!

What would the GOP do without it's race baiting and hate mongering policies?

Perry is afraid to face the fact he created Texas' current budget mess and he will look very stupid trying to convince voters he can solve the federal budget mess. Of course putting “Perry” and “stupid” in the same sentence is redundant.

Yep.

Please Perry run for President & get out of Texas. You will finally realize that other states do not find your backward approaches & mindless decisions something to be valued. Please run & find out you can't carry most of the states…probably very few. Please run & experience a true press conference by the national media that has the time to investigate and invalidate your lies. Please run and see how long you can hide from exposure of your wasteful life style & questionable business associates and practices. Yes, please, please, please do us a favor and get out of the state to run for another office.

Perry won't run, my friend. I wish we were so lucky.

OMG. All hat and no cattle Perry for President????

His smirk, his arrogance, and his total lack of concern for the citizens of Texas should make him a darling of the GOP. Will he use the rainy day fund for his campaign? He certainly won't use it for important things like education. And now it turns out that the lotto money that should have gone to education to the tune of several BILLION dollars has been given out as larger winnings.

However, if he chooses to resign as governor to run, I hope he does so. Because he will be gone from here, and could never win the Presidency. Sorry, but he really makes me want to slap him.

I feel your pain my friend.

Too bad for us common folk; we've been so “blessed” with him, don't you think the rest of the country should get the same??? He's got something to hide in that closet of his, and knows well enough that prying reporters will get at it if he runs for president.

I wonder what those hidden closeted skeletons would be?

So the Koch brothers etc are buying op the U.S. government. Anyone that sings their song is rewarded aka Perry and Limbaugh. Anyone else is destined to live in a hi tech So the Koch brothers etc are buying op the U.S. government. Anyone that sings their song is rewarded aka Perry and Limbaugh. Anyone else is destined to live in a hi tech feudalistic society.

Rick Perry and his GOP would love to have folks like us live in a middle aged feudalistic society.  His efforts on this behalf have been relentless over the past ten years.

And you can betcha that the GOP will kill Medicare as we know it the day they take over the Presidency and a majority in Congress.  This crop of Republicans is so extreme that will make Bush Co. seem like normal moderates.

At any rate, it looks like Texas voters may seriously regret voting for Slick Rick.

ROFLMFAO!!!!! You have got to be kidding me!! This lowlife was planning on trying to be THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES….ROFLMFAO……Texans are already screwed with him as governor. OMG I could not imagine him being THE PRESIDENT. Oh yea did any of you watch the Frontline presentation ” Death by Fire”, if not, please do, you will see reall live terror at work by Mr. Perry.

Voters, who turned out in strikingly large numbers for a special election, said they trusted Ms. Hochul, the county clerk of Erie County, to protect Medicare.

“I have almost always voted the party line,” said Gloria Bolender, a Republican from Clarence who is caring for her 80-year-old mother. “This is the second time in my life I've voted against my party.”

Pat Gillick, a Republican from East Amherst, who also cast a ballot for Ms. Hochul, said, “The privatization of Medicare scares me.”

The district, which stretches from Buffalo to Rochester, has been in Republican hands for four decades, producing influential figures like Representative Jack Kemp and siding with Carl P. Paladino, a Republican, over Andrew M. Cuomo in the governor's race last year. [emphasis added]
