TX population- 24.7mm TX deficit- $25B deficit/person- $1,012
still want to make that argument how TX and NY are fairing the same???? I know, I hate it too when pesky little things like numbers get in the way
The 2011-12 fiscal year is projected to have a $9 billion deficit. $9 billion/19.5 million = $461/person. The entire budget is only $135 billion.
Nope, Texas and New York are not faring the same. Texas is twice as deep in the hole per capita.
