By Byron LaMasters

This has pretty much been an open secret for the past several months, but the talk is now accompanied by a website, so check it out.

Will he be able to beat Friedman?

Like you said, it's been an open secret. My biggest concern is that Republicans would be able to paint him as the lame-duck congressman who tried to take down Tom DeLay. When cross-over votes would be most appreciated, I don't think looking petty will help, and that is exactly how the GOP will make him look.

Besides, I don't know him well enough to really gauge if he's ready to run a winning gubernatorial campaign.

I actually think this guy has a decent shot and would probably appeal to a broder group of voters than say Frost. But that is my opinion.

I for one am glad to see him in the race and am not too concerned about any long term affect from the ethics complaint. Let's see what Ronnie brings out in the next few months.
