What the Hell is a Slog?

Apparently, it's a "webless log". At least that's what Houston Chronicle is calling their commentary on blogging - which is on the web, and not a log (as there is just one post). This is a great follow-up to some of the comments on my post last night that the mainstream media is pretty much clueless and belittling when it comes to blogging.

Update: Nate and Charles add some thoughts as well. We all seem to be in agreement on this one.

It must be a cold day in hell because Greg and I are in total agreement. J/k

Actually, I wrote this post at Common Sense on the subject earlier. I see it as just another cynical attempt to classify blogging by people who don't have the first clue.

I'm desperate to see a newspaper start a blog that isn't done in a half-assed fashion like the Dallas Morning News or the Stateman (no offense, but those are not nearly the same caliber as BOR or Political Animal or etc.) Imagine the possibilities.
