GOP Values in Action
By Byron LaMasters
The DCCC is all over the recent GOP House hypocrisy -- where they've changed the House rules to allow Tom DeLay to remain leader even if when he's indicted. House rules previously required members in leadership positions to resign if indicted by a state prosecutor. When and why did they put the rule in place? Back in 1993 when they were targetting Rep. Dan Rostenkowski (D-IL), then-chairman of the Ways and Means Committee who was having ethics problems of his own at the time. Now that their guy is having some trouble back at home, the rule isn't quite as convenient.
You can help the DCCC elect Democrats in two Louisiana House runoffs by donating today.
Update: They've got a petition to sign here (blog post here).

Good to see the Burnt Orange living on!
And there is an effort targeting Congressman Henry Bonilla. If he is going to propose it, he needs to be ready to hear how awful it is...

Republicans are amazingly good at adopting Democratic tricks of the trade.
I bet some time in the future they will even learn how to replace a politically wounded candidate with another one just a couple days before an election.
is anyone in austin getting together a bus trip or something to go to Louisiana? burnt orange should get on that!
Newly elected Bobby Jindal is doing his part on the other side to help the Republican candidates.
How bout all that money Kerry was able to hang onto? 45 million in his primary account and 15 million in his presidential campaign? Do y'all think that could have been used in the down ticket races? Maybe get some more Dems elected? And the party carried his water sooo much and he surely did not help the party in return.
He's saving it for 2008. Y'all like that? Y'all up for another Kerry race? Want to invest another 640 million in him?
