It is taking 45 minutes minimum to ENTER the parking lot from the North right now at the Travis County Expo Center.
This situation could be very, very problematic if 10am deadline to be on credential lines are upheld.
The Lege is not on either Channel 17 or Channel 6. Time Warner is rebroadcasting the Commissioners Court from 5/22. I can't get anyone at Time Warner on the phone. I'd like to request that they broadcast the Lege. I'd like to record this.
(We've got to keep taking a lead on issues here at BOR so we can continue to have a large voice in the national picture. - promoted by Burnt Orange Report)
Just read yet another Kos diary that points to BOR as one of the local blogs that are changing American politics:
That's why I'm excited that the Daily Kos blogroll is now featuring these organizing heroes. As we evolve as a movement, it'll be the Albany Projects, Raising Kaines, Burnt Orange Reports, Calitics and other sites like them that will transform the way we wage politics.
Then Kos answered my prayers and listed Texas as one of the top-tier races of 2008! People, please start doing a little lurking over on DailyKos if you aren't doing so already. While I would never argue that we shouldn't spend at least 90% of our effort here at home (wet or net), we should do what we can to keep Texas in the national consciousness so they will stop writing us off and start helping us!
(Bell's momentum continues. - promoted by Karl-Thomas Musselman)
According to the AP story linked to at chrisbell.com and The Statesman, Bill Clinton will be coming to Texas to campaign for Bell. This is major news for a bunch of people who feel like they've been hung out to dry by the national party. Waiting to hear details from the Bell campaign, but this is exactly the thing that dispirited Texas Dems need to keep fanning the flame. Good things coming on the national front for Bell--first Jesse Jackson, now Clinton. Keep hope alive. The man from Hope. Here's hoping.
