LULAC Council #1 and The American GI Forum would like to invite the Community to a "peaceful demonstration", where we will stand arm in arm, shoulder to shoulder, in support and love for our men and women in the military.  LULAC Council #1 stands in solidarity with the families who have lost loved ones and we are DISGUSTED that these individuals would travel to our beloved city and show such vile disregard towards our military families and our Citizens of Corpus Christi.  Please wear a red, white or blue shirt and bring your American Flag.

Where: Gates of Corpus Christi Naval Air Station, SPID & NAS Dr. in Flour Bluff
When: Saturday, February 2, 2008
Time: 11:00 AM

Contact:
Totsy Armadillo
LULAC Deputy District 11 Director

More Information from our sister Tina Cruz:

On Saturday, February 2, 2008, a group called the Westboro Baptist Church aka WBC, will be having a picket at the Corpus Christi Naval Air Station on the SPID/Flour Bluff side.  This is a religious protest & warning where they have put in black & white that God hates the Navy and their underlings, the Marines, the Military and the USA.

The claim that it was God who hurled the helicopter from the sky that killed the three or more antichristic hypocrites in wrath and vengeance in retaliation for our sins against the WBC.  The flyer they sent out reads: Thank God for Navy Copter Crash in Texas, killing three.  WBC to picket base & funerals.  This organization is supposedly based out of Topeka, KS and their website is www.godhatesfags.com.

The American GI Forum along with LULAC Council No. 1, its sister organization, will be holding a rally in support of our military and requests that as many supporters be present at the gate in Flour Bluff between 11:00 AM and 11:30 AM to counter what these individuals are attempting to do.

See you Saturday....God Bless our troops, their families and the Great USA.

Sincerely,

Tina L. Cruz, AGIF-US National Women's Secretary
Chairwoman, Coastal Bend Area Women's Chapter
