Behalf Texas-Mexico border, immigration, new Secretary Homeland Security

by: ken78724

Thu Nov 13, 2008 at 09:36 PM CST

Major relief is needed as our victors take office. Especially important will be the selection of the Secretary of Dept Of Homeland Security, discontinuation of border wall building as well as misuse of taxpayer funds to sell our neighbors and ourselves down the tubes. Please review this well set forth article and let Texans take this country back!

We demand better use of tax payer dollars, stop the wall and formulate confidence not hurt on regards the Texas-Mexico border; prepare better for floods, hurricanes, stop building the border wall and stop stuffing billions in deep pockets of rich ambulance chasers.

Let's answer people needs, grow more, entrepreneurs and permanent job alternatives, serving those in this country, not more warfare, anguish, loss of a good world image and lop sided living.

Is Paulson Heisting $700 billion Taxpayer $s? Who'll Stop It?

by: ken78724

Wed Sep 24, 2008 at 05:33 PM CDT

Alternatives to bailouts exist. Taxpayers must not bear the burdens for debts they did not create.
Bidders who could have made buyouts were ignored in the case of Lehman Bros bank. A pushy executive department led to a hasty decision
Moreover FBI probes of  frauds tied to  Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, Lehman Bros & AIG are incomplete so  taxpayers ought not pay a dime's worth of costs with no full Congressional decision making.
Today Warren Buffet bought $10 billion worth of Goldman Sachs (five for preferred stock & five for common stock).
Those of poor and medium income with no chance to invest have had to take it in the teeth once again.

Does RACISM belong in the White House? 12 Noon 9-19-08 UT Utopia Theater/School of Social Work

The portrait of John McCain painted in Gook is far more disturbing than any racial epithet.
A central thesis of the book is that war fertilizes racism, and racism justifies wars and the killing of civilians. This dynamic thrives within the most dangerous leaders of the world. Is John McCain one of them?

Spain's Media Uproar On McCain re: Prime Minister Zapatero

by: ken78724

Thu Sep 18, 2008 at 05:47 PM CDT

Over & over McCain chides Barack Obama's lack of foreign policy experience. But Spain's citizens are upset with John M. Why? Mr. McCain evaded the interviewer's question as whether he'd invite Prime Minister Zapatero to the White House.

On the air and amongst blogs, this Nation took it as a shear lack of preparedness or inability to respond.
Hear the radio interview for yourself: Why Can't a Seasoned Candidate Answer Whether He'd Receive A Friendly Prime Minister In The US White House?
Listen to this link Interview With Senator McCain over and over like tens of thousands of Spain's citizens did and ask yourself, "Would you want this man elected?"

In the interview, which has been written about, posted and rebroadcast throughout Spanish-speaking countries now, McCain's reluctance to commit to meeting with José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero, Spain's Prime Minister can lead us to only one conclusion - he didn't know who José Luis Rodríguez Zapatero was.
Even if we give the benefit of the doubt to McCain and make excuses for him - the reporter had a heavy Spanish accent, the questions leading up to the one about Spain's Prime Minister dealt with Venezuela, Bolivia and Cuba and Zapatero does sound like zapatistas to an untrained ear - it doesn't erase the fact that the reporter clarified to McCain that she was talking about Spain and Europe.
The "oh sh!t" moment for McCain could be heard in that very pregnant pause once he realized his mistake. But since Presidential candidates are never wrong, rather than admit he got confused, he belabored the same theme.

Financial Market Crash Can't Be Solved Via McCain Strategy

by: ken78724

Tue Sep 16, 2008 at 09:37 PM CDT

Phil Gramm artfully called for de-regulation decades back. But he called Texans, in fact all citizens winers.

We must not let Phil Gramm or John McCain current economic advisor Douglas Holzt-Eaken call of 9-16-08 for reform regulation go unquestioned. It does nothing for Texans. And it is more of the same. It will not address Texans  needs or solve financial woes or economic plight felt by the people in our state. No, we must not let Phil Gramm's historic battle cry be a front and center national battle cry for taking the White House.  No, that is more of the same -- a bridge to no where.

The above travesties demand every Texan's fullest attention. I hold:

We must speak out passionately on needs and hurts that stir us to action. We must carry through upholding our torch with pride and endure all it takes to prevail.
We have no alternative but to focus clearly and forcefully on tough tasks before our people.
Let us get down on it and march ahead till the votes are counted on and our causes prevail.

Failed Money Managers Is a Peril to Texas Financial Needs

by: ken78724

Update 1
Chilling fear affects & distrust for market trades followed Secretary Paulson A.I.G. flip flop. I submit:
Now tax payers will pay the Federal Reserve bank $85 billion bridge loan with credit default swaps amounting to $449 billion. The Treasurer reversed precedents of 1920 when farmers were told "No take your losses" & housing was told the same seven years later. Worst of all government is protecting private interests and taxation without representation occurred; and no Federal law was passed to straighten out the mess. That's just what Texas does not need.
Almost simultaneously Barclay Bank [of London] cheery picked choice Lehman Bros Bank assets, giving foreigners control of premium US operatives. Again little gals and guys took the hit as the cheery pickers danced off in the dark. Had a "moral hazard" not existed tax payers may be footing the bill, not Barclay Bank getting Lehman assets at nearly zero cost over real values. Ouch.
Rumors have it use of ad hoc interventions may be exercised to overcome Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs being on the skids.
Though an immense PR effort was made on A.I.G., Lehman, etc., the volatility, lack of trust for anything but Gold at $70 per ounce & the giant yard sale US market sales dropped an additional $449; and gave stinging losses in London, Hong Kong, China, etc.for 9-17-08.
None of the aforementioned Executive Branch actions were put in check by Senator Cornyn, Rep Barton, plus other highly vocal Republican candidates for re-election in Texas. Why did this Republican taxation without representation occur? Fellow Democrats, we must find ways to put the opposition's feet to the fire! My prognostications from 9-15/16-08 speak up for all Texans, especially those in business, related service jobs and foreign trade. All facets of life in Texas are affected!
