Bio:
Texan by injection, ex-pat from SF Bay area who thinks the Hill Country is where Godde lives, and Texas Music is the celestial choir. Following this analogy, guess who GWB really is.
Unfortunately this won't de-gas the local "teabaggers", but it should provide some summer diversion.
From Q San Antonio, comes this report about the infamous Westboro Baptist Church of Topeka, Kansas (no link will be provided by me)current visit to sunny San Antonio for protests. The reason? I kid you not:

Frank Corte and I sat side by side in a question and answer session with the San Antonio Express News editorial board. Of course, Frank knew 4 of the 5 by name as he been through this rite 6 previous times. As we were waiting for the rest of the interview team to arrive, Frank talked to one team member about the recent Texas A&M versus Army football game; apparently they were at the game together.
Luckily for Frank, this was not a debate; just question-and-answer for one hour. We both answered the same questions. We actually agreed on two questions:
I have been encouraging my young 'un to hang out with y'all UT Dem types, and go to your events for the past 2-3 years. Now that takes some doing, since to get there from San Anto takes grit and nerves. Which is why I told him no matter where he goes to college, he's gonna travel on shank's mare or bike.
Anyway, my plan was to innoculate him against Republicans, and so the 5 or so shots he got from y'all were going to have to really "take", 'cuz I had no idea where he'd be going to college. You see, he's basically a pain in the ass to teachers. The only thing I knew for sure was that after a vist 3 years ago to A&M for a tournament, I knew he wouldn't be going there. He hated it's dullness and its Bushness. But there are still lots of dangerous, Republican places he could have ended up. His favorite tee became y'all's, with the big baseball-style "Liberal" written across the front.
