New Committees for Craddickheads

by: StopCraddick

Tue Jan 02, 2007 at 03:21 PM CST

(This is great, ha! - promoted by Karl-Thomas Musselman)

Six Democratic committee chairs have signed a letter confirming that their personal ambition means more to them than stopping the most corrupt, autocratic, and spiteful speaker of the house in Texas history.

For the sake of their ambition, these six Craddickheads will overlook the fact that Craddick deliberately prepetrated a gross violation of the Voting Rights Act so severe that even the Republican dominated trial court panel, Republican dominated Fifth Circuit, and Republican dominated Supreme Court could not overlook the deliberate dilution of Latino votes in Texas.

For the sake of a little pork for their pet projects, these six Craddickheads would stand arm-in-arm with the speaker who appointed an ethics committee that is itself so corrupt that it ruled for Craddick allies who can now report a $100,000 check by reporting the receipt of a "check" without reporting the amount of the funds received.

For the sake of loyalty to the man who promoted them ahead of their peers with longer tenure and stronger moral values, these six Craddickheads would enthrone Craddick in the obscene speaker's quarters which Craddick decorated with hundreds of thousands of dollars in dirty contributions so he can now use $1,000 toilets for the same purposes he has been using Texas public school children.

Here are my proposed new committee assignments, please add your own suggestions:

Craddick Means Corruption

... Following months of heated debate, commission members issued a formal opinion, on a 5-3 vote, that interprets an open-government law requiring disclosure of gifts worth more than $250. ... [C]ommissioners in earlier discussions agreed that not requiring the disclosure of a gift's value was an egregious loophole. ...

The issue has been a fierce battle since last year when Bill Ceverha - a friend and appointee of House Speaker Tom Craddick - reported on his personal financial disclosure form that he had received a "check." Mr. Ceverha, a former House member from Dallas, sits on a board that oversees the $20 billion state employee retirement fund.

After public furor, Mr. Ceverha and his benefactor, Houston homebuilder Bob Perry, told The Dallas Morning News that Mr. Perry had donated $100,000 to Mr. Ceverha, who had declared bankruptcy because of lawsuits over his involvement with a Republican political action committee....
