Why I'm Confused There Are Reasonable Texans Not Supporting Chris Bell

by: Kevin M. Callahan

Thu Sep 14, 2006 at 01:04 AM CDT

It has come to my attention, although I am currently  working out of state, that there are still reasonable and Democratic Texans that are not supporting Chris Bell. In fact, there appears to be a great number of seemingly reasonable Democratic Texans that are supporting Kinky Friedman. Now I like Kinky... as a country western star... NOT as Governor of the Great State of Texas.

It absolutely boggles my mind that otherwise educated individuals are, with 54 days to go until the General Election, still entertaining the entertainer. While the idea of an "outside man" is always appealing in politics, surely anyone with one iota of sense realizes that Kinky's ideas are an amalgram of ideas taken from both sides of the political spectrum, and not an actual coherent plan for the state. While this incoherent plan sounds like a libertarian dream come true, an unrealistic impractical dream is all it is.

But Kinky's lack of serious agenda is not the reason to vote for Chris Bell. The reason to vote for Chris Bell is because Chris does have a serious agenda and a practical, coherent plan for Texas. I share that plan, and how it affects an ordinary Texan like me, now...

Help Greg Hecht The Way You Helped The Map Changers

by: Kevin M. Callahan

Fri Jun 30, 2006 at 08:04 PM CDT

Once again, I am asking for Texan Progressive Democrats to help me and two of your fellow Texans put a democratic candidate in place to fight back and win against Ralph Reed, who is still beating his Republican opposition in the polls.

Greg is the best candidate to win against Ralph Reed in the fall, but he lacks name recognition. Winning this poll would seriously help him be in the best position to take the primary, and with it, the election against Reed.

Click here to take the straw poll for Georgia Governor, Lt. Governor and Secretary of State.

According to Blog For Democracy, the poll closes at midnight on Friday (June 30), and the winners will each receive a small ad on the upper left of this site to run until July 18th. That is unless "None of the above" wins.

Together you can help Georgians the way you're already helping Texans.

The Dominoes Are Falling, Help Ralph Reed Follow

by: Kevin M. Callahan

Fri Jun 23, 2006 at 01:04 PM CDT

My friend Damon McCullar reported to you all that the Chief of Staff of the Government Service Administration has been found guilty on two counts of obstruction of justice into the infamous Jack Abramoff trips to Scotland and three counts of making false statements or concealing information from GSA officials.

Included in the famous trip to Scotland were Congressman Bob Ney of Ohio, Ralph Reed of Christian Coalition fame and Republican candidate for Lt. Gov of Georgia, and two Ney aides.

McCullar said many think that Ney is next. That only leaves one more man that is connected here... and as was reported, that man, the infamous Ralph Reed, is attempting to get himself elected to one of the most powerful seats in the Georgia State Government.

But you can help stop him.
