District 97 Race Heats Up

As previously reported on BOR Dan Barrett is the only Democrat running against six Republicans for the House Seat in District 97.

All indications have been pointing to the fact this is a clear opportunity to get one seat closer to taking back the house. There are only two weeks left before election day and it is imperative that we continue to share our message with the voters and get them out to the polls.

Taking Back Texas has issued a $1000 dollar matching grant challenge to the Dan Barrett Campaign. For every dollar thats donated to Dan's website TBT will match dollar for dollar up to $1000 dollars through Sunday the 28th of October.

Please consider attending a screening!  Taking Back Texas is doing amazing work across the state, particularly here in TX-06.  Their visionary organization is putting money and work where it counts building infrastructure and formal training.  Trainings are available for not just those in our county but anyone wanting to spread the grassroots message and organize those in other counties.

Taking Back Texas has secured the Texas release rights to “Iraq in Fragments,”  winner of three top awards at the 2006 Sundance Film Festival. The Texas tour will include screenings in Austin, Dallas, Houston and Fort Worth.
