New Braunfels District Six city Councilman Ken Valentine was voted out of office, with 508 voting to recall him and 438 voting to keep him in place, according to unofficial results of a recall election.
Valentine has been an advocate of rules aimed at reducing drinking and rowdy behavior on the Comal and Guadalupe Rivers.
The city will hold a special election in November to fill his seat, which expires in May 2008.
