Ask Congressman Pete Olson a Question in HChron's Online Town Hall

by: Phillip Martin

Tue Mar 03, 2009 at 11:14 AM CST

Have a question for Republican Congressman Pete Olson? The Houston Chronicle will have an online town hall where you can ask him any questions. It begins at noon. Follow this link if you want to participate:

I'd want to ask him, "Congressman, do you think Rush Limbaugh -- a former drug addict who thinks slavery was a good thing that "had its merits" and kept "the streets safer after dark" -- should be such a vocal leader of your Party?" (Source)

Limbaugh (0.00 / 0)
Just one not-so minor quibble: there is no such thing as "a former addict." Tens of millions who've participated in the various recovery programs will swear to that. Rush Limbaugh is, in that sense, still a drug addict.

Too bad Lampson lost (0.00 / 0)
Had Nick Lampson emerged the winner in last year's race in District 22, the word was that he was going to be named chairman of the Subcommittee on Space and Aeronautics. Imagine how beneficial that would have been for the Houston area, with its enormous concentration of aerospace jobs. Instead, the district has a low-ranking Republican freshman who is utterly without influence. Too bad.
