YouTube Video of Craddick Supporters at the Austin Club

by: Burnt Orange Report

Mon Jan 08, 2007 at 05:04 PM CST

Thanks to Quorum Report, here's the video of Craddick supporters:

There are only a total of 62 folks ID'd in the video and while they may not have caught everyone, it verifies reports that Craddick did not have 75 votes there yesterday.

Thanks to our commenter -- there's a video of the 10 Democrats that were there, too. Check below the fold, or click here, to watch that video.

The Age of Accountability Has Arrived (3.00 / 1)
I can already see that clip of #30 Kino Flores playing through my mind in slow motion in grey and white in a primary ad. Or 36 or 39.

But my favorie and probably the best shot is # 51- Dukes. When there is a primary, THAT shot will be the one.

There's another video (3.00 / 3)
That has just the Democrats, id'd by name. See it here.
They are:

Joe Deshotel
Kino Flores
Ryan Guillen
Aaron Pena
Helen Giddings
Sylvester Turner
Dawnna Dukes
Ruth Jones McClendon
Norma Chavez
Patrick Rose

Other Democrats who have pledged to Craddick but did not appear in the video are...

Kevin Bailey
Tracy King
Robert Puente
Harold Dutton

We need contact info for each of these Craddick Democrats ASAP.

My comments reflect my own personal opinion and not those of any client or colleague, current, former or future.

Uh oh.... (0.00 / 0)
Look out for Tracy King.  If you get a primary opponent to run against him, he might punch you in the face!  (Sorry, Pete.)

Krusee Kon (3.00 / 1)
AAS has Krusee claim 70+ attend meeting. Video count was 63.

whoever did the video (0.00 / 0)
didn't know the freshmen republican legislators.  add them in and you get to 70.

did you see them in the video? (0.00 / 0)
Because they did label Nathan Macias and he's a Freshman Republican.

I think 44 was Freshman Diane Patrick.

also notice (3.00 / 1)
dianne snuck in the back.  she was a parentPAC backed candidate.  methinks someone needs to get an email in to carolyn boyle, et al.

Slinking in... (5.00 / 3)
While I have long and meaningful relationships with my former colleagues, and helped elect a few of these, it saddens me greatly to see this video.

I've disagreed with others over policy and politics often.  At the Legislature, I often was on the losing end of lots of votes and battles.

But I never thought that what I believed in was something I'd ever have to slide through a rank, smelly alley to do.

While I can't even imagine why I'd be walking into that meeting, I can assure you if it was something I believed in and was proud of, I'd go in the front door.

Guess I, too, would be ashamed to be seen consorting with these guys.

"Slinking with Craddick" (3.00 / 1)
That sounds like something I'd be ashamed of too.

Covered with Craddick
Slinking with Craddick
Wallowing with Craddick
Kneeling to Craddick

Makes me sick.

That was one of my first thoughts (0.00 / 0)
when I saw the sneakers.

You kinda lose the argument about a principled stand when you sneak through the alley to meet your man, so to speak.

Whatever you're standing on at that point, it's a lot smellier (and less solid) than principle.

Before you win, you have to fight. Come fight along with us at TexasKaos.

Listen hard (0.00 / 0)
Perhaps the most chilling thing about this is the sound of the birds in the background. On any other day, they wouldn't be noticeable.
