Seaman's Sexual Scandal

by: Burnt Orange Report

Sat Nov 04, 2006 at 08:34 PM CST

We all knew that Gene Seaman is a crook and creepy, so it doesn't surprise us that he is also a pervert.

On January 18, 1988, Karen Biles (office manager of MONY Financial Services) sent a letter to Mike Kaplan with MONY Services complaining about Seaman's behavior.

Letter Page 2

The letter states that Seaman called Biles into her office to question her loyalties to him and forbade her from seeing people outside the office whom he didn't like. He also told her that if she planned on getting married before he retired then she should just quit right there. He also questioned her spiritual life and suggest that they "should get to know each other on a spiritual level."

A few months later, he called her into the agency library and grabbed her ass and asked her how she was feeling. Three days after that, Gene Seaman, in front of most of the office, "picked [her] up off the floor, even though she complained loudly and rubbed his entire physique against [her]. As he set [her] down, he patted [her] posterior."

Biles attorney told her to consider it sexual harassment.

The runs directly with the well-known rumor that Seaman is not allowed to get massages from the Corpus Christi Athletic Club. One can only assume why a member is not allowed to get a massage.

Once again Seaman is shown to lack the moral character to be a State Representative. How he ever stayed there so long is beyond our belief.  From our understanding, this is just the tip of the iceberg.

Wow. I am so not shocked. (5.00 / 1)
Seaman has been acting like this for a long time. He is just a bad person all around. From cheating on his taxes, funneling campaign cash through his wife, being a shill for the insurance lobby, imitating a penis on the house floor to sexually harassing women.

What a dirtbag.

What a scumbag! (0.00 / 0)
Seaman is one of those good'ole boy style abusers. What era does this man think he lives in?

When Seaman got in trouble over the condo rent being paid from his campaign coffers, he blamed it on his wife.  And now we learn he thinks he can control the women who work for him and demand sexual services from  them.  This guy is literally a dirty old man.

How disgusting!

Check out this great blog post from Seaman's district (soon to be Garcia's) (0.00 / 0)
Up for Anything:

Dear Representative Seaman,

I wanted to let you know why I will be casting my vote this Tuesday for "Liberal Democrat Juan Garcia." First, I should tell you that whenever I have lived in a state that has required me to register in a specific political party in order to vote in primaries, I have always registered Republican. I am conservative on many issues and have generally supported Republican candidates. You, sir, have managed to prove the exception.

I will be voting for your opponent this election for one important reason: I know where he stands, and I can support his stance. I have no idea where you stand, sir, other than you are against "Liberal Democrat Juan Garcia." Your entire campaign platform appears to be an attempt to smear Mr. Garcia with the tarbrush of liberalism, as though it is a disease akin to leprosy. Your so-called campaign has only been one scare tactic commercial after the other. Juan Garcia appears on my TV screen and talks about what he believes in and what he supports. He was willing to debate the issues. You have sat in your office, arrogantly secure in your incumbency, while your campaign limits itself to dirty advertising, trying to scare us away from ?Liberal Democrat Juan Garcia.?

I was already leaning towards casting my vote for Mr. Garcia, based on what I knew of his platform and what I didn't know about yours. As I sat here today and tried to enjoy some football, during one game alone I saw 2 positive ads from Mr. Garcia, and 5 negative ones from you. I believe, sir, that it is time for the electorate to make a stand, and to tell our elected politicians that if they want our support, they owe us to show that they really want it. They owe us positive commercials discussing their accomplishments and their goals. They owe us honest and wide-ranging debates. They owe us more than the arrogance of the incumbent and dirty campaigning.

Regardless of the outcome of Tuesday's election, I sincerely hope that you and your campaign will take what I have said to heart. Thank you.
