CD07: Henley closes gap on Culberson

by: Michael Hurta

In November 2004, extremist John Culberson won his re-election without a sweat.  64 percent to 33 percent (head-to-head with Democrat John Martinez) is a pretty damn safe margin.

But between July 15th and July 24th the Henley for Congress Campaign saw volunteers spend over 500 man hours using their training from a local polling expert to see if the CD07 cituation was any different than almost two years ago...

And boy was the outcome much nicer.  That 31 percent advantage Culberson used to have is almost 2/3 cut away.  That 31 percent is down to 12.

Culberson: 51 percent said they would or probably would vote for him.
Henley: 39 percent said they would or probably would vote for him.
There were 10 percent undecided.

And the outlook is even better when one realizes that all of this bad press  on Culberson came out.

Even more promising is the fact that these hopeful numbers occured before the major campaigning actually started.  The name-ID of Henley has only barely been given its growth pills since the start of the campaign.

But now is the time where the big campaigning starts.  Now, though, we know that this race CAN BE WON!

But Jim needs your help.  He needs everyone's help.  Donate to Jim!!  If you don't have the money to give,  give your hours!  With an extra push at this crucial moment, we can see the man who has been called  "Worse than Delay" kicked out of office!

Could you name the local polling expert?

Ah, I see... (3.00 / 1)
I see from a prior post that it was Richard Murray who offered the advice.
