The Governor of Texas was greeted by protesters on Monday, Dec 17, 2012 during his visit to North Texas. The Northeast Tarrant County Democrats organized a rally to advocate restoring funding for public schools.
Governor Perry was attending a Tea Party fundraiser at the North Richland Hills Community Center.
His Tea Party guests got to hear various chants including "Stop the Cuts - Educate Our Future!" and protest signs to remind them that the Republican-led Texas legislature has cut over 5 billion dollars from public schools and may cut more this session.
Besides the Northeast Democrats, other groups that participated included Save Texas Schools and other education advocates.
