Victory Party?

Isn't "victory party" a tad bit presumptuous? If enough voters watched the KXAN debate, I don't think she'll do well. She appeared petty, uncomposed and blatantly aggressive. She should've been able to really outshine Jennifer with the recent story on the RoboCall, but she didn't.

Unity Opportunity

I see this as an opportunity to unify the party, if it is handled properly and if their concerns are not dismissed as an attempt to divide the party. I don't think they want to see the results changed for this year, but they want the rules changed for the future. The upcoming state convention is the place where their concerns should be addressed, so that we can come out of the convention a unified party. Boyd Richie has said he would rather wait until 2010 to change the rules, but I think we should do it at this year's convention as a way to unify the party.

Bigger than Texas

The allocation of delegates is not a choice of the TDP! The DNC offers the states 4 options on how delegates are distributed across districts. (2008 Delegate Selection Rules for the Democratic National Convention, Rule 8. http://www.democrats.org/page/... ) Two of the options are for states where voters register by party. The other two options are for states like Texas and both are based on past Democratic vote totals!!! None are solely population based.
Many states use the same distribution method that Texas used. A federal court ruling against the TDP distribution method will throw the national presidential selection process into total chaos because it will nullify the delegate distributions nationwide.
And how ironic the lawsuit was filed on the day all the supers started leaving Clinton and going with Obama.
This lawsuit isn't about civil rights...it's about divisiveness. It's about pitting Hispanics against blacks in Texas and whites against blacks in other states. It's about dividing Democrats and preventing us from unifying for November.
This isn't throwing the kitchen sink. It's throwing the bathroom toilet.
