This is the game that never ends...
By Jim Dallas
I woke up from a nap to catch game three of the World Series (the first World Series game to be played in Texas. Ever.). I woke up in time for the 8th inning. I was bummed because I thought I was only going to catch an inning and a half.
Wrong.
It's now the top of the 13th and it's still 5-5. This is the longest World Series game I can remember.
Meanwhile, I'd remind Panda Amanda that it's not paranoia if they're really out to get you.

Go Astros.
Update: It ended. White Sox won in 14.

I was there for all of it. Got back this morning around five. Don't know if I've ever been more devastated about a sporting event (and I've seen Texas lose to UCLA 66-3, I was at the OU game two years ago, and I saw the Pujols game a few weeks ago). Toughest loss ever.
Go 'Stros.
Stay strong my 'Stros bretheren. I put this up there with that loss to Colorado in the Big XII Championship game, where we almost came back to win it, but didn't, and it bumped us out of the BCS bowls.
Don't feel too bad about the World Series. Think of it as an enormous victory for a BLUE state which happens to be the home of Sen. Barack Obama. :P
The Dems in 2006 should do as well as the White Sox and sweep the House and Senate.
BTW, one t-shirt I saw on sale here in Chicago read:
Houston, you have a problem.
