Just to be clear, the event starts at 10. It is mentioned in the body of the post at 11 adn then below at 10. It starts at 10. We hope to see everyone there...
Why is Jason Earle announcing his candidacy for HD 47 outside of HD 47? Was there not a single public school in his own district that he could stand in front of? What will he say at the press conference? Perhaps something like: "I'm here today in House District 49 to announce my bid for House District 47..."
Pease is where he went to elementary school adn thought it would be easy for people to get to. He's having his district announcement later in the day - at 6pm at Rosie's Tamale House.
It's not uncommon for someone to announce outside their district. A lot of announcements are made from the Capitol bldg. I think it's a nice move to show that he's an Austinite with long time roots. He went to elementary school in Austin and now he's back to show these kids, you can give back to the community by public service.
