Burnt Orange Brunch
By Karl-Thomas Musselman
The Saturday before last we tried to get a bunch of the Burnt Orange Reporting crew together as many of us have never met each other before, and some of the new writers I know only by their applications to begin with. It was a fun afternoon filled with good old fashioned Dirty Martin's greasy hamburgers as well as talk of the Texas-OSU game (which we of course won) and Texas politics (naturally). We managed to get our server to take a shot of those assembled and we are very much looking forward to having another get together this fall, hopefully one in which you the readers may be interesting in joining us at.
From L to R: Phillip Martin, Drew Clinton, Andrew Dobbs, Damon McCullar, Katie Naranjo, Karl-Thomas Musselman (me), and Zach Neumann

Dude, who's Andrew Dobbs' stuntman back there? Wither the facial hair?
How did you all get so smart so young? And sassy too!
I know Jason, it shocked me too. It's coming back some now though.
I shaved it off--I look a little less intimidating now. I just had stubble the last time K-T saw me. I plan on keeping it nice and clean for a while.
Only ONE female and no persons of color from such an allegedly Democratic organization! Whatz UP! The Bush administation has far more diversity than y'all.
Where's Byron?
Okay, now I feel stupid after checking the about me part...
Btw, if you're on facebook, feel free to add me...
Burt, we have two female writers, one Hispanic, and another who is half Hispanic, as well as a sprinkling of Homosexuals. It's hardly your Straight White Christian Party. Remember, not everyone was in the picture.
The real question to me Karl is if in the interest of diversity if y'all would ever consider a Cacasian Republican Jewish reporter that is equipped with a journalism BA, years of student, weekly and daily print and electronic journalism and currently writes for an African American (Houston Style Magazine) publication, SaigonTexNews.com and LaVida News and is the former Managing Editor of Houston Review.
No because this is a Democratic blog. There were applicants over the summer, that solid though their credentials may be, were Libertarian Party members or otherwise. I don't test for ideology, just look at which Party one would be.
Alright, since I guess no one else has said it I will... HOTTIE!!! (now picture me singing that)
Now fight amongst yourselves as to who that was meant for.
