Ronnie Earle for governor!
I'm happy to see justice finally visiting Tom DeLay. Let's see how many Republicans abandon DeLay now that he's going down. The most corrupt politician ever.
Sonia
It was just announced that De Lay is stepping down as majority leader as a result of the indictment. But as when Trent Lott stepped down from his leadership position, it is nothing more than a formality which means nothing. He still wields more power than anyone in Washington. More than Trent Lott ever did.
Most likely if we have another special session in October, the first order of business for the Republican "leadership" in Texas will be to limit the power of the Public Integrity Unit. To make sure Ronnie Earle can't indict them as well.
All eyes should be on the Ft. Bend County district attorney. Who probably could have indicted De Lay a long time ago. And didn't.

Odd how Ronnie Earle has conducted more "partisan vendettas" against fellow Democrats than Republicans.
What the Republicans, and some Democrats, don't like about his public statements, including those at partisan political events, is that he raises the question of ethics in politics. A word that politicians dropped from their vocabulary a long time ago.
De Lay never addreses the matter of ethics. Only the legality.
Oh Happy Day! Frist is next.
