BORed: Aggies Boarding Up For A Storm
By Matt Hardigree
I thought it was important to interject a little bit of levity into a day whose news has left us sorrowful. This photo is courtesy of stirman.

'Sorrowful?' Sure, the Reps managed to kill their own first fighting chance at something like freedom from orientation-bias, and maybe we're all a little upset that Arctic ice is pulling a disappearing act, but one of the most corrupt politicians in Washington has been indicted, and justice might be served. That seems like a cause for merriment. Or maybe I'm missing something.
On the other hand, that picture's classic.
So a "good Aggie" offered this solution?
1) that's an oxymoron
2) how can the inside of a window frame provide a structure for fastening boards that the exterior of the building cannot?
Maybe you need a degree from A&M to figure it out...:)
You know this photo would work for anyone...I'm from Georgia and we would say that must be a Tennessee book store!
Thanks for the laugh!
Dude, that's a bookstore. That's what they always look like in Aggieland.
michelle good point!
and i have another
3. Why are they protecting the INSIDE of the windows... the outside is where the wind and flying objects are...
genius
You don't understand Aggie logic. They put the plywood on the inside so that when the glass breaks it doesn't make a mess inside.
I understand that it's an aluminum framed window in a brick building. Nevertheless, this picture is hilarious.
Well they're not complete Aggies, or both doors would've been boarded.
Off topic, but would someone kindly tell me whether Texas has a provision for getting statewide referendums on the ballot through petition? To my knowledge, the only method is the con. amendment option with the 2/3 of both chambers and all that: hopefully someone knows more
thanks in advance.
No referenda in Texas, just constitutional amendments from the state. Some cities have the option, so you can do it there.
