September 16, 2005Another Drunken BushBy Karl-Thomas MusselmanI think I had a Government class with him last semester. And does anyone else find it odd that his initials spell J.E.B.? Posted by Karl-Thomas Musselman at September 16, 2005 07:03 PM | TrackBack Comments
Actually, I think daddy's name is also John Ellis Bush, hence JEB. I'm sure everyone thinks Jeb is for Jebediah, but nope. It's just his initials put together. Posted by: Stace at September 16, 2005 07:09 PMI thought the Bush family was the poster family for family values in Florida? One son who likes to get drunk and throw his weight around with cops, another son who apparently likes to break into his girlfriend's home and then tear up her front yard with his truck, a drug addict daughter and a wife who likes to smuggle in designer clothes. I think Pat Robertson ought to pay more attention to what's going on in Tallahassee than what's going on at Disney World. And then we have Jenna and Barbara. No wonder their father wants to give all that money to "faith-based" groups. It's called hush money. As in "Hush. Don't say a word about the Bush family. They give us all this money." No doubt the White House will remind us that they are, after all, just kids. Just as he was. "And look how he turned out. He's the president of the United States!" Those people that offend societies laws ahould be able to rehabilitate themselves back into civil society. By your comments above, thats just lip service. Noele's problems haven't resurfaced since her problem occured. The mother hasn't had any reocurances. The twins also have cleaned themselves up and have graduated college and are doing good work. One teaching in underpriviledged neighborhoods. The other attending medical school in Houston, attending to some of our recently displaced citizens of Katrina. And Karl should have been able to see future president George Prescott Bush's behavior while attending UT Law. Your examples above really solidify the State of Texas death penalty laws. No reason to hope of rehabing these people given the death penalty, just get the needle ready. Posted by: peter at September 17, 2005 07:05 AM"The twins also have cleaned themselves up and have graduated college and are doing good work" Well, it's true they've graduated from college. I don't know how that particular fact argues for their good character, but, point taken. As far as the last point, I'm not sure what they are doing that's so good, but on the first point, there's no shortage of drunken Bush daughter stories that keep the gossip pages filled to this day, so they definitely haven't cleaned up. Not that there's anything wrong with that. Paris Hilton is settling down, so someone needs to pick up the reins. Posted by: mistermark at September 17, 2005 08:43 AMRehab is a two way street. Just because times goes by does not mean that the parties have "rehabbed." The person involved has to want to change. Have the Bush daughters enrolled in AA. Has George P Bush enrolled in anger management classes. Has JEB junior taken therapy to stem his penchant for socially deviant behavior? Has the former first lady sought counseling for her thievery? 'P' is working in Dallas for the former DNC Chair Robert Strauss. Going to be a great guy. We ought to see him getting active by 2012, with a run in the 2020's. We'll see after Bush 44 happens. Get ready for the "J" campaign. Great family, very much like America. Plain spoken, refreshing isn't it. Posted by: peter at September 17, 2005 02:13 PM"Great family, very much like America." Reading about them is like reading about the Borgias. Guess it depends on your definition of family. Posted by: Baby Snooks at September 17, 2005 02:35 PMWhy am I not surprised at this.
