The Internets are saying that counter-protestors went down to the Cindy Sheehan shendig and chanted "we don't care." And then went away.

Someone would have to be a "major league asshole" to counter-protest Cindy Sheehan. Even if one doesn't agree with her, it takes a serious shitbag to taunt a greiving mother.
As for the sons of bitches who plowed through the memorial crosses in the name of patriotism: I'd like to see them shipped to Iraq to further express their support for the war. I am seriously doubting that act of vandalism was done by a veteran. Perhaps the truck driving vandals would have a better appreciation for the sacrfices of the military if they actually knew what was going on in the war zone. But hey, being an ignorant and belligerent asshole who supports Bush without question is an easier route to "patriotism" than enlisting for military service under the Far Right's paradigm.
