More Governor Polls
By Jim Dallas
A spread of negative fifteen points for the Guv, down four points from a month ago.
Bad, but not nearly as bad as the Governator. As by my count, twenty of the fifty state governors have net negative ratings right now.

Thanks for the chart--interesting reading.
Don't worry too much about comparing Goodhair's negatives with the Governator's. Unlike the anti-girly guy out here on the Left Coast, RiP doesn't have the nurses, teachers, firefighters and the cops all chasing him around the state--at least not yet. I think we've got 'em both on the run, and now it is crucially important to keep the heat on and to select candidates who can properly and righteously finish them off.
Bob Taft (R-Ohio) - 17% Approval.
How bad do you have to be to be at 17%?? I wonder what Nixon's was when he resigned...
As bad as Bob Taft in the middle of Coingate, apparently.
I sometimes wonder about the just-over one-third of Texans who would say that they approve of possibly the dumbest, most mendacious Aqua Net inhaler this side of the Mississippi.
That Taft number is astounding, lower than Nixon's when he resigned, if I recall correctly.
Some commentators have noted Taft's numbers are in large part the result of the stranglehold the Ohio GOP has had over that state's politics, resulting in a series of well publicized scandals.
If we can get Democrats elected governor of California, Texas, Florida, New York and Ohio
in 2006, it could really change the national landscape in good time for the 2008 presidential election.
