Chris Bell Campaign Posts Kos Diary

I was discouraged by Tim McCann's post. It got off on the wrong foot, describing Chris Bell as "probably best known for filing the formal ethics complaint against Tom DeLay in the House Ethics Committee." As long as the "political insiders" think that the 2006 gubernatorial race turns around 'who got DeLay?' or 'who video'd Kay?,' Democrats will get their asses handed to them again. And if Chris Bell is still best known for his ethics complaint a year from now, he does not deserve to be the D candidate for Governor.

It is up to progressives, not partisans, to articulate the Human Agenda for the People of Texas, and those of us reading this post ought to focus on that and talk about it -- and make Chris Bell and, for that matter, Governor Goodhair and Senator Cheerleader to do the same.
