Call me cynical, but this happens every darn year and is mostly just a series of embarassments for everyone involved.

This is why I never campaigned for SG. Because I never had any desire to put up with this b.s.

Charges are filed each year, but they don't often result in much or get dismissed (like last weeks) It is rare that there are campaign bans, rarer that they last for two day and in the final days of campaigning, and rarer for it to be the entire ticket. I'm on a lunch break but I'll have more later.

This is an ruling with an unprecedented level of harshness and irrationality. I will be writing a letter to the ESB members, and it will not be favorable.

The charges seem silly. Just like the ones against Andrew last year. Sounds like the whole thing is rigged...

Rigged? How so. Have you investigated it or just talking without anything to back up your comment? Considering it was a 6-0 ruling, I'm tempted to say that it was something that the entire panel agreed on. And considering that the application to be on the ESB board was one of those things that tends to be reponded to by people closer to SG, and since both campaigns are made up of many SG members, I find it hard to believe that the entire panel would be "one-sided". And even so, if it was "rigged" then someone on the Connect ticket didn't do their job to try to ensure balance on the panel. Plus, all the charges that I posted about here a few days ago have since been dismissed by the panel.

Oh and Chris, you aren't siding with any ticket over the issue of the decision of the panel are you? Might be seen as a partisan activity that gets you a complaint asking that you be removed from the Daily Texan panel...

Well... rigged or not it is a ten dollar penalty for a ten cent crime. And Karl-T... stop whining. Are you two going to whip out your hit counts next? I think Karl is going to win but there is a rumor going around that he doesn't know how to use it.

Whose hit counter I'm I whipping out mine to compare with? Chris? It was supposed to be a sarcastic joke but if it didn't come across that way...sorry. Then again yours was probably a joke and I missed it too because I'm dense. *sigh* My question is how big is your hit counter? :)

Yeah, we're joking, both of us. I hope. Everyone on the panel has some bias in some way. The important thing is we have a group of people who, with open minds, are going to make their own endorsements. You joined some facebook groups, it isn't like you already told people you were going to endorse them.

See Matt, it's really all my secret plan to undermine the process. And then after that, I'll continue my secret plan to overthrow the Assembly and divert all power to the Agency Directors who will then reign over all aspects of campus life.

That and banning the Point of Order for all Representatives. Are you with me?

Evil... but not evil enough. Honestly, we've come to expect more than your power diversion plan. I was thinking you were going to endorse representatives willing to cede all of their power to Senate. That would be truly devious my friend.
