It's a victory that both the American right, and the American left can celebrate, because this is a victory for democracy.

The right can never be sincerely happy about a victory for democracy. For whenever there is true democracy the right will lose.
When the right declares itself pleased by a victory for democracy, they're lying either about their happiness or their underlying loyalty to the right.
