Sessions Doesn't Want to Debate

Well, I wouldn't want to debate Frost either if I thought that terrorism was a game:
As part of KERA's Student Voices project, Congressman Martin Frost and Pete Sessions are scheduled to make a joint appearance at Richardson High School. Instead of addressing the group of young adults together with Congressman Frost in a civilized debate, Pete Sessions instead insists on making a quick speech and an early exit. It's sad that Sessions has been ducking the issues this entire campaign, but what's worse is the fact that he refuses to act like an adult in front of a group of high school students. But, given recent disclosures of Sessions' activities, what would you expect?

I think that President Bush has a line for this.... "you can run, but you can't hide". Some one tell Pete Sessions.

Man, wish I was in Dallas- my grandmother lives less than a mile from there, my mom graduated from there.
Richardson is kind of my second home town- my grandparents have lived there for 35 years, my mom lived there after she was divorced from her second husband, my dad was a cop there for 25 years. Its cooler than Allen, but Austin is my hometown now.
Sessions pulled the same stunt a few days ago, when the Dallas Area Interfaith met. Both were invited, but Sessions is alleged to have said he doesn't want to be on the same stage as Martin Frost.
Pretty obvious Sessions knows he will win because he is a Republican, and that's how this new gerrymandered district (TX-32) votes. The voters couldn't care less who is the better candidate.
Sessions may *think* he'll win, but that's not a given. It looks like it will be a very, very close race with a good chance for Frost to win. But a recent poll showed that Sessions leads 50-44%. Yet, your point is all too true, Gene Bob, as the Dallas Morning News poll shows that independents favor Frost 56% to 37% for Sessions. District 32 is 41% Republican, 29% independent, and 27% Democrat.
The Sessions ads in Dallas lately are pretty desperate, too. They never focus on issues but are attacks on things like Frost's "moral relativism." Sessions calls Frost a tax cheat and talks about Frost getting money from Hollywood. He brings in Guiliani, which is somewhat amusing if you consider the general Texas disdain for New Yorkers.
BTW, there's Frost-Sessions debate on Thursday.
