Donate to Bill White immediately to stop this from happening:

I've read the article, and it's the best example of the worst kind of journalism in America today. Texas Monthly's entire magazine is based on a hypothetical that no one — except Rick Perry's own political consultant — is predicting.

Seriously — go give money to Bill White immediately. Right now.

  1. Hey, I was thinking of this hypothetical a couple months ago
the hypothetical that maybe Rick Perry will be President?  True, no one besides Rick Perry's consultant is predicting that Perry will become President.

But, if Perry beats White (not the shoe-in that Burka almost makes it seem), I think he would highly consider running for President in 2012.  And I think he really does have a good shot at getting the Republican nomination.  It's that beating Obama thing that I'm not predicting under any scenario.

But Burka's not predicting or even insinuating that, either.

  2. Bring on Perry/Palin
I kind of don't think the American people, outside of teabaggers, secessionists, racists and xenophobes, would want another right wing Republican governor from Texas as President given the devastation W. and his right wing ideology visited upon us.  That nice guy to have a beer with turned out to be a horror show.

    Go Bill White!  I donated.

I wonder why journalists are not writing about the current civil war waging within the GOP.  Palin and Steve Schmidt are openly at war with one another. He said she is a liar. (No kidding.) The mainstream of the party told Michael Steele to shut up.  He told them to fire him or shut up.  And what about the Florida GOP chair who was run out of office on a rail by teabaggers?

  3. The only thing more idiotic than Rick Perry for President
is/was George Bush for President.  After electing Bush, sadly, anything is possible.  Electing these two dolts – in any capacity – is the best reason anyone could find for believing in conspiratorial cabals who front shrimpheads as candidates to do their dirty work.
