there are prisoners in Gitmo who should be repatriated.

there are prisoners in Gitmo whose release has already been ordered -- in at least one case the Obama administration has refused to release a prisoner despite federal judges' orders from the Obama administration's own "revamped" tribunals.

there are prisoners in Gitmo who, if they really are that dangerous, would give that upstate Yankee prison being closed a reason to retain the 400 jobs the town is losing.

You'd think the GOP would want to save jobs and free prisoners. Apparently the GOP cares for neither.

Meanwhile: interference at this level makes keeping the armed forces, whose "troops" the GOP claims to "support", in a bind for efficiency and at risk of interruption to the support services they need.

Congratulations, Kansas.

So Kansas might be one of those solidly Republican states right now, but the time will come.  It will.

And lets make sure to name them.  I'm sure they want the notoriety - Sens. Sam Brownback and Pat Roberts - Republicans.
