On Friday April 17, our illustrious governor “requested a major presidential disaster declaration for Callahan, Clay, Jack, Montague, Wichita and Young counties, and reiterated the need for an emergency declaration for 199 Texas counties due to recent wildfires”.
While earlier in the week, Mr. Perry, talking with reporters about secession at an astrotruf Tea Party, stated, "There's absolutely no reason to dissolve it. But if Washington continues to thumb their nose at the American people, you know who knows what might come out of that."
On April 10 titled the governor’s office issued a Press Release titled: “Gov. Perry Calls on FEMA to Assist the State in Fighting Wildfires”
On April 9, while endorsing HCR 50, the Governor said, “I believe that our federal government has become oppressive in its size, its intrusion into the lives of our citizens, and its interference with the affairs of our state.”
What is it Rick, do you want taxpayer funded Federal assistance or do you want secession?
Texans deserve better than a governor who exhibits signs of Schizophrenia.
