Larry Joe Doherty was the biggest loser among Texas 2008 candidates. That's not a bad thing, it's the fact that he got the most raw votes of any candidate that didn't win. In fact, his 143,719 votes was more than 9 other people who did get elected to Congress in Texas. TX-10 had the most voters of any congressional district in Texas: 333,083. (Austin Chronicle)
