Texas Round-Up

  • Rep. Donna Howard responds over at Capitol Annex about her vote for HB3 this week.

  • Congressman Chet Edwards calls on his opponent Van Taylor to report how much ExxonMobile stock that he owns, which is reported as being somewhere between $5-$25 million worth. While not legally required to disclose more information than he already has, Van Taylor's explanation is classic.

Taylor, who owns between $5 million and $25 million in the company's stock, said his knowledge of the industry is needed in Congress.

“My life experiences speak to the challenges we face, and the high energy prices are a serious challenge, and it can only help to send people to Washington who understand it from the ground up,” he said.

ExxonMobile reported $8.4 billion in profits in the first quarter of 2006 alone.

  • Bill Clinton will be in Austin, and not just to give his speech to the LBJ graduates.

Any backstage passes being given out... (0.00 / 0)
at the Clinton event? If those are being given out, maybe Planned Parenthood should latch on to pass out condoms to the backstage pass recipients...lol

It's a shame... (0.00 / 0)
It's a shame your father didn't use condoms.
