$2000 in Matching Funds for Chris Bell- Donate NOW!

by: Karl-Thomas Musselman

Fri Dec 12, 2008 at 02:11 PM CST

(All right folks! You passed the first match and are only $625 away from taking advantage of the full second match by Commissioner Garcia. So if we can scare up the remaining $625 will hit the total $5000 raised for Chris Bell this year via BOR! Last push for dollars for E-Day GOTV! - promoted by Karl-Thomas Musselman)

Goal ThermometerI've just recorded the video below to share some great news with you. As Matt announced this morning, we have received two matches for our Chris Bell fundraising effort for a total match of $2000! Roland Garcia of Houston and County Commissioner Sylvia Garcia of Houston have upped the ante and that means it's really time for you (yes, YOU) to step up for Bell.

Now is the time. This is it. Give now and double your money.

These late dollars will help with last minute GOTV field efforts which our good friend Martha of muse-musings is helping to run.

  1. Make GOTV Phone Calls. Click here to sign up.
  2. Travel to Houston. Join the Austin Bus Trip for Bell Saturday.
  3. Donate. Help us reach our $2000 goal for the runoff and double your dollars today!.

So Close (0.00 / 0)
we are only 7 dollars away from activating the first matching funds.  Who ever donates the $7 will actually be giving Chris Bell $1,007!

Who wants to be the lucky person?

Just gave (0.00 / 0)
$10, sorry it couldn't be more.  But thanks to the generosity of Commissioner Garcia and Mr. Garcia, it looks like my small contribution has a much larger impact.

Thanks Joe (0.00 / 0)
$10 makes a big impact.  If we had all our readers give $10, it would be a game changer.

I was only able to give $25, but Chris is worth giving up Jo's for a while.

First Match is Done! (0.00 / 0)
Thanks everyone!  Now we need to get Commissioner Garcia's match.  Don't leave anything on the table.

Less than $900 to meet the second match (0.00 / 0)
We're less than $900 to meet the second match (wait, did I say that in the marketing correct way or should it have been over $800). As Matt and others have said, big, small, just right donations from the BOR masses will help close that gap REAL QUICK. Yes it is a recessionary economy but that's even more a reason to put someone in Congress who knows the issues and needs of the working class.

Let's close the gaps for Chris.
