| Gardner Selby of the Statesman is reporting that Gov. Rick Perry will appear at a press conference with Sarah Palin at the Republican Governor's Association meeting in Miami on Thursday. Perry said that Palin would be greeted at the RGA summit as a "returning hero," the DMN's Trailblazers blog reported. "We know her, we've known her better and longer than any of those folks out there," the Texas governor told Fox News Wednesday. "We respect her. We support her. And she is reflective of the type of leadership that America expects from American governors."
The meeting, with attendees like Palin, Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal, Mitt Romney and Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty, is being billed as the first event of the 2012 Republican Presidential primary. On an unrelated note, I have moved into 2nd place for a $10,000 Blogging Scholarship and could really use your vote. It takes a few seconds to vote now. Thanks for your help.
