Melancon (D TX 4) Does Ralph Hall represent your values?

by: Glenn Melancon

Wed Oct 22, 2008 at 03:11 PM CDT

Time and time again Ralph Hall tells voters that American soldiers will have to "fight a war and take some energy away from someone."  Does this represent your values?  It doesn't represent mine. I believe it's time to stop talking about stealing and to start investing in America.

My campaign has produced a short video using Hall's own words to expose his values.  Please circulate it to your family and friends.

We have twelve days left to spread the word and fight for change in Texas.   Donate today and help put this commercial on the air: https://secure.actblue.com/con...

Our future depends upon a competitive energy market.  We can't rely on one product-oil-to drive our economy.  Here's what I propose.

  • Providing America consumers with a tax credit of up to $7,500 per vehicle to buy advanced alternative-fuel vehicles and up to $2,500 to retrofit existing vehicles with advanced alternative-fuel engines
  • Investing in public universities and research facilities to find less expensive consumer energy and conservation technologies
  • Permitting oil and gas exploration beyond a 50 mile buffer zone off the coast of Florida, Virginia, the Carolinas and Georgia, if those states approve
  • Building a seamless mass transit system to serve all of North Texas

Consumers and commuters need choices, but Ralph Hall is leading the opposition to change. He is cynically exploiting our suffering at the gas pump as an excuse to represent big oil. Texas families need choices, not more of the same. Until Americans have a competitive energy market, we'll be paying extortion prices.

He's one sick.... (0.00 / 0)
He's willing to drill his granddaddy's grave to find oil and he says "we're going to have to fight a war and take some energy away from someone".

Earth to Ralph... we're already fighting two wars - did you forget that?

Help people see this. (0.00 / 0)
I have posted this on digg and reddit, in the hopes that more people will see this.  It is time for Hall to go.  Go vote it up and help out.

From down here in Dallas Co., home of Pete "the Streak" Sessions TX-32, and Tony (and his Cronies) Golsby, HD 102.  I saw Carol Kent yesterday afternoon as the early voting closed at a Dallas Rec. Center, and got to meet her parents who live in Rockwall Co.  They have one of your bumper stickers on the back of their pickup, and her dad said you were a "real smart, nice young man".  I said I hadn't met you, but knw of you (from DKos0, and i spoke to Eric Roberson (D candidate TX-32) about your coordinated statement on energy and transportation.  I'm hoping we can see another approach to funding regional rail in N. Central Texas, and get the Lege to let us do it here.  We'll see.

Just Five Seats!

Keep fightin' up there in the home of the "Hall of Shame"!
