Cornyn's False Charges of Voter Fraud

by: TexasCowboy

Fri Oct 17, 2008 at 10:16 PM CDT

John Cornyn would seek to be another George Bush in trying to manipulate voter registration as he along with George Bush and the Republican Supreme Court, did in the 2000, 2004 and 2006 elections.
Most Americans know George Bush basically stole the 2004 election and used Alberto Gonzales and the Justice Department, which became a wing of Bush's White House, made false and fraudulent voter fraud allegations.

The coordinated effort today by John Cornyn and other Republicans Senators to again bring the Justice Department into the Republican web of deceit is one final un-American approach in helping John McCain win an election.  This is a desperate attempt by John Cornyn and the GOP because many of the swing states, states supposedly carried by George Bush, are now turning their support to Barack Obama.  John McCain cannot win an election on his merits, so his tactic is to try to stop 'disenfranchised' voters, those typically voting Democratic, from voting at all.  Further, as is the McCain, Palin mantle, they would attempt to strike FEAR in voters with a dishonest scandal of mere fantasy.

ACORN has always acknowledged some of the people they hire to register voters, have falsely done so. ACORN, by law, turns in all voter registration cards and flags those that appear to be fraudulent.

One attempt by the GOP to file lawsuits on this issue was ruled upon by the Reagan-appointed US District Court judge in Ohio who declared that Ohio Secretary of State Brunner was violating federal law by refusing to purge registration forms when mismatches occur between the state Motor Vehicles Administration database or the federal Social Security database, databases known to be fraught with errors that demand voter registration verification against unreliable databases in order to exact large-scale purges of voter rolls.

This filing by John McCain, the Bush Administration and lead by the GOP was despite of federal law prohibiting voter roll purges within 90 days of Election Day, tens of thousands of voters in swing states have been recently stricken from voter rolls.

The Supreme Court ruled in favor of the Ohio Secretary of State, ruling "they were granting Brunner's request because it appears that the law does not allow private entities, like the Ohio GOP, to file suit to enforce the provision of the law at issue."

John Cornyn wrote the Justice Department and requested they get involved in a voter fraud investigation of ACORN.  This is the same type of Bush, Rove, tactic supported by John Cornyn.  His action belies those of dictatorial countries like Nigeria or countries ruled by dictators.  This is the REAL GOP, modern day terrorists who attempt to strike fear in Americans in order to control and manipulate at any cost.  The GOP's America is anti-U.S. Constitution in that Bush, McCain, Cornyn want a government of, for and by the GOP where Americans are controlled by fear, instead of the wisdom of our forefathers stating our government is of, for and by the PEOPLE.

I hope Americans will wake up soon.  Is it possible to ever return to the days before George Bush and John McCain who drive division and discourse among the people of this nation?  When will there once again be a United States of America and not a Red America or a Blue America?  One can always hope.  And one can always have faith that the common sense of most Americans will win out over the political plots of people like John Cornyn and the GOP. One immediate and positive change will be to elect Rick Noriega.  This is a leader who stands up for the disenfranchised.  This is a man Texas needs.
