Over 1000 Attend Patrick Rose Fundraiser

by: Karl-Thomas Musselman

Tue Sep 30, 2008 at 07:14 PM CDT

This Sunday I had a chance to attend Rep. Rose's 5 annual BBQ shindig out at the Salt Lick. Being one not willing to pass up some comped food, I headed on out to chill with the best and brightest of Blanco, Hays, and Caldwell County.

This thing has really gotten out of control. Apparently 1,000 people showed up this time. That's like, what, half the population of Blanco County? I'm sure that will also grow the Rose warchest to further insane levels, which of course, is awesome. It's not StramaRama, but hey, I'm not complaining. :)

Anyways, they run a great operation down there and I look forward to more re-election bids, if only, because it means more BBQ from Salt Lick.

another grade "A" event for Rose (0.00 / 0)
I've been to a lot of fundraisers all over and I can hardly recall one as well thought out, well planned and well executed (except for Patrick's last fundraiser).

Since his first campaign when John Sharp hosted an event in Blanco County on his ranch, Rep. Rose has drawn huge crowds.

He is immensely popular and we love him here in Hays County.

Truth be told, most of the 1,000 people he probably personally called to invite.

Great example of how to run a good event.  The added touch of $5 student tickets just puts it over the top.  Not many electeds or candidates consider that students may want to attend and get involved...but can't foot the bill.

Proud of my state rep.
