TX-10: Rush Limbaugh to Raise Money for Mike McCaul

by: David Mauro

Thu Sep 25, 2008 at 06:48 PM CDT

Rush Limbaugh and Clear Channel Communications Lowry Mays, who is McCaul's father-in-law, will host a fundraiser for Mike McCaul in San Antonio next month.

The McCaul campaign is doing its pathetic best to distance McCaul from Limbaugh even though the hate-filled commentator will be raising money for the congressman.

From the Statesman:

Jack Ladd, McCaul’s campaign spokesman, said, “Just because Rush Limbaugh is attending a fundraiser for Michael doesn’t mean they agree on every issue and we believe Michael’s voting record speaks for itself.”

Asked to name an issue on which they disagree, Ladd repeated, “I think Michael’s voting record speaks for itself.”

Mike McCaul's record does speak for itself. He puts the special interests above the people's interests and continues the pay-to-play politics he learned from Tom DeLay.

Come on, San Antonio.

I'll donate a bunch of of empty prescription bottles you can put a big black "VIAGRA" label on and pelt him with like rice at a wedding.

Don't let the Blue Dogs getcha down. Primary them.

The pay to play game in DC (0.00 / 0)
is passe.  We are witnessing its crash and burn on Wall St., thank you, compliments of the likes of W.& Co., Delay (who invited lobbyists into our lawmaking process), Phil Gramm (the architect of deregulation) and other Texas Republican enablers such as Hutchison and Cornyn who have routinely voted for the interests of big business and its so-called trickle down economics. Only an idiot would believe the fat cats would trickle anything down save their criminal financial losses.

So Rush is going to prop up McCaul?

Jack Ladd just rocks!  that is all there is to it lol

I Hate Special Interests (0.00 / 0)
LJD's donors come from all walks of life (strike that...) lawyer.  Check out his campaign finance report http://query.nictusa.com/cgi-b...
Guessing he's getting $400,000 to $500,000 from attorneys.  Don't know the threshold of donations from a particular interest group that put a candidate at risk of influence but I think we may be in the ball park.

Let's look at the Truth...Not only in one campaign... (0.00 / 0)
So I guess everyone knows by now that Larry Joe Doherty's Contributers are the lawyers who will say anything just to win a case in court, and Larry Joe will to in order to get into Congress...so if you honestly believe that special interests run Congressman McCaul's campaign...look a bit harder into Larry Joe's Campaign.

And about Michael McCaul not putting the People's Interests first...let's take a look at the Green Technology that Michael McCaul supports. Not only has Congressman McCaul been traveling all over his district to hear the opinions of his constituents on the issue of expanding energy needs, but he has also been recognizing the IMPORTANCE of Green Technology. The many times that I have had the opportunity to see McCaul around District 10 speaking with thousands of constituents, I can safely say he is a PROUD supporter of Green Initiatives, and truly understands the needs to diversify our energy needs.

I appreciate the work Congressman Michael McCaul is doing for our Congressional District, and I think it is important that we take him back in NOVEMBER.

for real? (3.00 / 1)
you gotta be kidding me.

if mccaul just so much as tried to be a good congressman this wouldn't even be a race.  hell, if his staff even made half of an effort...this wouldn't be a race.

mccaul's willingness to do nothing while folks in the district suffer is an epic failure of leadership.

the fact that he is so lazy as to not even bother to be aggressive with his staff conducting outreach and constituent services is both striking and telling.

whatever his support for green technology, it can't make up for his utter disregard for the families of that district.
