Financial Market Crash Can't Be Solved Via McCain Strategy

by: ken78724

Phil Gramm artfully called for de-regulation decades back. But he called Texans, in fact all citizens winers.

We must not let Phil Gramm or John McCain current economic advisor Douglas Holzt-Eaken call of 9-16-08 for reform regulation go unquestioned. It does nothing for Texans. And it is more of the same. It will not address Texans  needs or solve financial woes or economic plight felt by the people in our state. No, we must not let Phil Gramm's historic battle cry be a front and center national battle cry for taking the White House.  No, that is more of the same -- a bridge to no where.

The above travesties demand every Texan's fullest attention. I hold:

We must speak out passionately on needs and hurts that stir us to action. We must carry through upholding our torch with pride and endure all it takes to prevail.
We have no alternative but to focus clearly and forcefully on tough tasks before our people.
Let us get down on it and march ahead till the votes are counted on and our causes prevail.

Take note I hold as follows:
-- had Texas taxpayer money not been spent on unproductive wars in Iraq and other countries where petroleum led madness invoked the Bush team and political associates policies, there would funds for so many new small business start ups could be paying taxes back to the government and new jobs could have been generated.
Money could be circulating and State government projects fully backed
. But  with money manager (MMs) scrabbling for deeper than deep pockets to bail them out we must be especially cautious and now following the Gulf Storms businesses that have been torn to shreds cannot be jump started or stimulated to return for the five years minimum it takes to rekindle and stabilize a rebuilt small business. Family life has been gravely hurt and we have no plan. The people at can neither attempt to bail out the money managers or small entrepreneurs needing to be embraced. But, I caution you
We must focus on answers to felt needs Texans are passionate about. At Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac the money managers produced at least $6.1+ trillion dollar loss and we tax payers bailed them out. Now we tax  payers must unite and  not let this happen again and again.
A
s more money managers fail and create more and more runs Texans must keep their eyes on each bailout question as it is being answered.
Secretary Paulson said 9-15-08 he would not do it for the Lehman Bros or AIG debacles.
But, just what part of that was staved off because of a battle cry from South America. Those people  demanded that the Imperialists be made to pay their way.
Finally, I ask
Shouldn't Texans be unified and taking steps that protect the financial management practices that affect Texas resources?
Won't that increase our capacity to grow from within? Have we failed to wager the forces needed by citizens of this State?
Let us stir our vessels so we do not fit the description set forth in the Press and vocalized by President Evo Molina - Bolivia and other fireballs wanting no part of the costs being hurled on his principally 79 percent indigenous population by the Bush-Cheney-Phil Gramm Imperialism team, with McCain - Palin calling for more of the same. Note after all Mr. Molina was democratically elected. He fights for his people and their right to develop the resources of Bolivia without calling on external funds.

I maintain that Texans need to focus on and plan for means that will reduce our dependence on Federal Government bail outs. Perry, Abbott, Cornyn and our many elected Republican office holders do not work with the citizens of the State or causing our people work together and reap joint benefits. We lose opportunities on a daily basis when we remain silent about this opportunity to grow from within.

Remaining asleep at the wheel ends up with bridges to no where and schools that amount to failure factories, leaving Texas in 49th or 50th place in terms of high school graduates. There is another way.
