A New Voice...

When Keith Olbermann needs someone to guest host on Countdown he will no longer be able to call on Rachel Maddow, because she will now be busy hosting her own show.

Rachel Maddow, how host The Rachel Maddow Show on Air America Radio, is a new breed of political voice in the mainstream media, and her voice is greatly needed.

I hesitate to call Maddow one of the best female progressive voices, because she is one of the best progressive voices period. She carriers herself with a different quality  than many of her contemporaries, and very few things are more pleasing to the ear than listening to her laugh at ridiculous arguments made by those that she happens to be debating.

Maddow represents a different kind of political commentator, not because of her gender or sexual orientation but because of how she presents her views. She is the antithesis of the shout-at-the-guest-cut-everyone-off-commentator; she is eloquent and candid without being arrogant and uncouth. She is everything that Bill O'Reilly, Sean Hannity and Rush Limbaugh are not: insightful and truthful, and everything that some liberal political commentators try and fail to be: a relevant liberal voice that does not speak in pursuit of ratings but in pursuit of truth.
