I'm not aware of any connection between Buck Smith and Lamar Smith.  But he does seem to bear a resemblance to "Republican Jaun Garcia".

Congratulations Matt!  And Elsie Hu was also very smart to see that this story is something that should be covered in the news.  Any time a paid campaign staffer is caught in a media deception ploy, they should be exposed.

how many Republicans engage in these sorts of things. I remember a case from New Hampshire, and of course the McCain staffer who worked for Kean Jr in Jersey previously...

It's sad that this is what the Republicans take for "blog outreach."

Cook Political Report upgrades CD7 and CD10 races (0.00 / 0)

I'll borrow this post as an open thread as I don't have enough for a full diary, but cookpolitical.com has upgraded those two races from Solid Repub to Likely Repub. I think that is still too conservative.
